METHOD — 05 STAGES

We build when the research earns the build.

  1. 01

    Question

    The engagement is written as a research question with explicit boundaries: what is being asked, what is assumed, and what would change the answer.

  2. 02

    Evidence

    Sources are gathered and qualified. We record what the evidence supports, what it merely suggests, and where knowledge currently ends.

  3. 03

    Structure

    Patterns are made explicit — the relationships, constraints and mechanisms already present in the material. This is where the structure becomes visible.

  4. 04

    Test

    Findings are stressed: alternative explanations, failure conditions, and evaluation design for any model or system implied by the work.

  5. 05

    Consequence

    Only then do we describe what follows — advice, an innovation programme, a build, or the conclusion that none of these is yet warranted.

DISCIPLINE

A finding that cannot survive scrutiny is not a finding.

We publish reasoning alongside conclusions internally, so that a recommendation can be examined rather than trusted. Governance is part of the method, not an afterthought applied at the end.
